MD Anderson Zayed O&M and Penthouse Renovations
Gonzalez Shah Smith, Inc. designed modifications to the existing O&M space and Penthouse at the University of Texas MD Anderson Zayed Building. The renovations included reworking the level 1 O&M space to plan for a future mechanical room, renovate the locker rooms, relocated offices and make an existing storage space more accessible to above ceiling equipment. Penthouse changes included adding code compliant storage spaces in select spaces in the penthouse to allow for filter and maintenance equipment storage.
Gonzalez Shah Smith provided the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services associated with this project.
MD Anderson Zayed Level 5 Takeda Research Laboratory Expansion
Gonzalez Shah Smith, Inc. designed modifications to the existing Takeda laboratory on level 5 at the University of Texas MD Anderson Zayed Building. The expansion included expanding into shell lab bays and support spaces. Also included was the installation of BSCs and Incubators necessary for research work to be done efficiently. Design was conducted in accordance with NIH guidelines.
